Tomorrow Never Knows

Tomorrow Never Knows

an arrangement

Medium:
Instrumentation
mixed sextet (fl, van, va, vc, elec. bs, pno/synth, percussion/drum set) pre-recorded sound)

Tomorrow Never Knows is an arrangement of the landmark Lennon & McCartney song (from their 1966 Revolver album). Lennon’s comment that he wanted his track to “sound like the Dali Lama and a thousand Tibetan monks chanting on a mountainside” is reflected in this arrangement. In addition to the acoustic and electric instruments, there is a layer of pre-recorded sound comprising Tibetan bells,  bowls, and singing.
